This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Through 9 AM this morning, a Frost Advisory remains in effect for
12 local counties mainly within north central Kansas, and also
west of the Highway 281 corridor in Nebraska. Please refer to the
Advisory statement for more details.

Late tonight into Friday morning, a Frost Advisory will be in
effect for the majority of the outlook area, along with a Freeze
Warning for four counties north of Interstate 80. Please refer to
the Advisory and Warning statements for more details, and please
note that the Advisory and Warning does not include a few counties
in the Nebraska outlook area that have already experienced a
widespread freeze this fall.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Through 10 AM Friday morning, the majority of the outlook area
will be under a Frost Advisory or Freeze Warning. Please refer to
the Advisory and Warning statements for more details.

There are two chances for thunderstorms within parts of the
outlook area during the next week, the first chance arriving
Saturday evening into Sunday morning, and the second chance
Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning. A few storms Saturday
evening and overnight could be strong to marginally-severe with
the main threat being hail. The main area of concern currently
appears to focus within counties south and east of the Tri
Cities, and including north central Kansas.

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.

...FROST ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 10 AM CDT FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Temperatures as low as around 32 degrees will likely
  result in frost formation across much of the area.

* WHERE...Hall, Hamilton, York, Adams, Clay, Fillmore, Webster,
  Nuckolls and Thayer Counties.

* WHEN...From 1 AM to 10 AM CDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if
  left uncovered.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Although near-freezing temperatures are
  possible within the Advisory area, a hard, killing freeze of 28
  degrees or colder is unlikely.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
