Winter Weather Advisory

URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
National Weather Service Gray ME
453 PM EST Fri Nov 26 2021

...SIGNIFICANT SNOW EXPECTED TONIGHT...

.Low pressure in the Gulf of Maine and will continue to strengthen
along the coast through tonight. Rain is starting to change over to
snow from north to south, and with the loss of what meager daytime
heating there was snow is beginning to stick to surfaces. This
change over is expected to continue as colder air moves in from the
west and precipitation gradually cools the air. This will result in
a period of accumulating snow tonight and very early Saturday. The
heaviest snowfall likely over the higher terrain along with the
Penobscot Bay region. Winds will strengthen late tonight with gusts
over 30 mph possible into Saturday.
