This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southern Connecticut,
northeast New Jersey and southeast New York.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

The Storm Prediction Center has placed the region in a slight risk
of severe thunderstorms today. Any thunderstorms that develop could
contain damaging winds and dangerous lightning. An isolated tornado
cannot be ruled out.

Internet for more information about the following hazards.

...AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection has issued an
Air Quality Action Day for the following counties:

Bergen, Passaic, Hudson, Essex, Union.

 until 11 PM EDT this evening.

An Air Quality Action Day means that Ground Level Ozone within the
region may approach or exceed unhealthy standards.
