...PATCHY BLACK ICE TONIGHT...

Patchy black ice development is possible tonight into early
Saturday morning as temperatures quickly fall below freezing and
freeze any residual moisture on untreated roads and sidewalks.
Motorists and pedestrians should exercise caution if traveling
tonight into early Saturday morning. Any pavement that looks damp
may be icy. Temperatures should rise above freezing by mid
Saturday morning, which should alleviate any problems.

...FREEZE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 10 AM EDT
SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast New Jersey, southern Connecticut
  and southeast New York.

* WHEN...From 2 AM to 10 AM EDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Sub-freezing temperatures will kill crops, other
  sensitive vegetation, and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
  plumbing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent
freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should
be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have
in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-
ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
