This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southeast New
Mexico, southwest Texas, and western Texas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

A gusty north wind behind a cold front this morning may result in
blowing dust... especially across the Permian Basin.

High wind is possible through Guadalupe Pass tonight. A High Wind
Watch is in effect.

A late season freeze is possible across northern and central Lea
County and the Permian Basin late tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

High wind may continue through Guadalupe Pass Wednesday morning.
A High Wind Watch is in effect.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not anticipated.

NWS while following all local, state and CDC guidelines.

...FREEZE WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY
MORNING...

* WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures between 27 to 32 possible.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast New Mexico and western Texas.

* WHEN...From late tonight through Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other
  sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
  plumbing.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent
freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should
be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have
in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-
ground pipes to protect them from freezing.

...Near Freezing Temperatures Possible Wednesday Morning...

Low temperatures may drop to around or just below freezing for a
few hours Wednesday morning across the northern half of Lea
County and the northwest and north parts of the Permian Basin.
These cold temperatures could damage or kill any sensitive
vegetation if proper precautions are not taken.
