This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of north and central
New Mexico.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Strong and gusty northwest winds are expected today. The strongest
winds are expected from the Sandia and Manzano Mountains toward
Clines Corners and southward across the South Central Mountains
where gusts near 50 mph are expected. Additionally, low humidity
values across eastern New Mexico will result in spotty critical fire
weather conditions this afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

More wind is in store for Monday, where gusts may again reach 50 mph
near and just east of the central mountain chain. Once again,
critical fire weather concerns will be elevated.

Spotter activation is not anticipated.

...HIGH WIND WARNING WILL EXPIRE AT 6 AM MDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph
  expected today.

* WHERE...Central Highlands, South Central Highlands and South
  Central Mountains.

* WHEN...From 6 AM this morning to 4 PM MDT this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. A
  few power outages are possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high
profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
