* WHAT...West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* WHERE...Sandia and Manzano Mountains including Edgewood, Central
  Highlands, Northeast Highlands, Union County, Harding County,
  Eastern San Miguel County, Guadalupe County, and Quay County.

* WHEN...Until 4 PM MST this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
  limbs may be blown down. Expect strong crosswinds on area roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Areas of blowing dust may reduce visibility at
  times in dust-prone locations.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high

EAST OF THE CENTRAL MOUNTAIN CHAIN DUE TO STRONG WIND AND LOW
HUMIDITY...

.Critical fire weather conditions will redevelop today across
eastern New Mexico. Southwest wind gusts of 40 to 55 mph will be
common across eastern New Mexico along with low humidity in the
single digits to low teens. Winds will decrease late this
afternoon to ease the critical fire weather concerns.

  and Central Highlands (Zone 125) from 10 AM MST to 6 PM MST
  today.

* 20 FOOT WINDS...West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 or
  55 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Minimum values between 7 to 15 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.
