AND WEST CENTRAL ROOSEVELT COUNTIES UNTIL 215 AM MDT...
At 139 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of strong
thunderstorms 10 miles south of Tolar, or 20 miles southeast of Fort
Sumner, moving northwest at 5 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Mainly rural areas of East Central De Baca and West Central
Roosevelt Counties.
This includes Highway 60 between Mile Markers 336 and 340.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
