...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT US-50 BETWEEN DAYTON AND SILVER
SPRINGS THROUGH 515 PM PDT...

At 418 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Dayton, or 7 miles southeast of Virginia City, moving northeast at 15
mph.

HAZARD...Torrential rain with wind gusts up to 45 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Blinding downpours and standing water along US-50 between
         Dayton and Silver Springs. Gusty winds could knock down
         tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Carson City, Dayton, Stagecoach, Silver Springs, Junction U.S 50 And
Six Mile Canyon-Ft Churchill Rd, Us 50 At Carson City-Lyon Co Line,
Junction U.S 50 And NV 341, Six Mile Canyon, Rawe Peak, and Dayton
Valley Airpark.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
