...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM PDT THIS EVENING...
...FREEZE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 8 AM PDT
TUESDAY...

* WHAT...For the Freeze Warning, sub-freezing temperatures as low
  as 30 expected. For the Wind Advisory, north winds 20 to 30 mph
  with gusts up to 45 mph.

* WHERE...Western Clark and Southern Nye County.

* WHEN...For the Freeze Warning, from 1 AM to 8 AM PDT Tuesday.
  For the Wind Advisory, until 9 PM PDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects.
  Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may
  result. Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other
  sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
  plumbing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high
profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent
freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should
be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have
in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-
ground pipes to protect them from freezing.

FOR STRONG WINDS AND LOW RH FOR SOUTHERN NEVADA AND PORTIONS OF
SOUTHEASTERN CALIFORNIA...

* AFFECTED AREA...In California...Fire weather zones 226 and
  227. In Nevada...Fire weather zones 460, 461, and 462.

* TIMING...Winds will peak today as RH values drop below critical
  thresholds.

* WIND...North winds 20 to 30 mph gusting 35 to 50 mph.

* HUMIDITY...5 to 15 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now or will shortly. A combination of strong
winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior. Outdoor burning is not
recommended. Heed all fire restrictions.
