* WHAT...High temperatures of 95 to 104 degrees in the valleys.

* WHERE...Northern Lander and Northern Eureka, Southern Lander and
  Southern Eureka, Southeastern Elko, Southwest Elko, Humboldt,
  Northeastern Nye, and Northwestern Nye Counties.

* WHEN...Until 9 PM PDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
emergency! Call 9 1 1.

TUESDAY EVENING FOR GUSTY WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR
FIRE WEATHER ZONE 425...

The National Weather Service in Elko has issued a Fire Weather
Watch, which is in effect from Tuesday morning through Tuesday
evening.

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zone 425.

* WIND...Southwest 15 to 20 mph with gusts to around 35 mph.

* HUMIDITY...5 to 10 percent.

* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.
