Flooding is ongoing through Ellison Park along the Irondequoit Creek. * WHEN...Until 1100 AM EDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1103 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain from recent thunderstorms has totaled 3 to 4 inches within the Irondequoit Creek Basin. Showers and thunderstorms today could bring heavy downpours of rain producing poor drainage ponding of water. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. Strengthening southwest winds late tonight and Thursday will bring increasing wave heights producing an elevated risk for rip currents. A strong cold front will cross the region on Thursday, with isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms possible with damaging winds the main threat.
