Another complex storm system will move into the area this weekend.
Accumulating snow will arrive Saturday, with several inches
possible. A stronger area of low pressure will then pass just
southeast of the area later Saturday night and Sunday, with the
potential for a period of heavy snow. If the low tracks close enough
to the area, there may be a period of mixed precipitation as well.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING
TO 7 PM EST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow and sleet
  accumulations of 1 to 3 inches in most areas, and 4 to 7 inches
  close to the Saint Lawrence River. Ice accumulations of a few
  hundredths of an inch to two tenths of an inch. Winds gusting as
  high as 40 to 50 mph late tonight and early Thursday, especially
  near the north slopes of the Tug Hill Plateau.

* WHERE...Jefferson and Lewis Counties. Greatest snow accumulations
  will be across far northern portions of Jefferson County.

* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 7 PM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be difficult. The hazardous conditions will
  impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will result in slippery
roads and limited visibilities. Slow down and use caution while
driving.
