Another complex storm system will move into the area this weekend. Accumulating snow will arrive Saturday, with several inches possible. A stronger area of low pressure will then pass just southeast of the area later Saturday night and Sunday, with the potential for a period of heavy snow. Total snow and sleet accumulations of 1 to 3 inches in most areas, and 4 to 7 inches close to the Saint Lawrence River. Ice accumulations of a few hundredths of an inch to two tenths of an inch. Winds gusting as high as 40 to 50 mph late tonight and early Thursday, especially near the north slopes of the Tug Hill Plateau. * WHERE...Jefferson and Lewis Counties. Greatest snow accumulations will be across far northern portions of Jefferson County. * WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 7 PM EST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Travel will be difficult.
