.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

   Winter Storm Watch.

Deep low pressure will move across the region this weekend. This
system will produce widespread accumulating snow on Saturday and
Saturday night, and a brief period of strong winds late Saturday and
early Sunday morning with gusts up to 45 mph possible. Additional
snow is expected Sunday and Sunday night as lake effect snow
develops. Significant snow accumulations are possible Saturday
afternoon through Sunday night, with the greatest totals across
higher terrain of the Tug Hill where one to two feet of snow is
possible.

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.

...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
SUNDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...For the Wind Chill Advisory, very cold wind chills.
  Wind chills as low as 25 below zero. For the Winter Storm
  Watch, heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 12 to
  24 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...Lewis county.

* WHEN...For the Wind Chill Advisory, until 11 AM EST this
  morning. For the Winter Storm Watch, from Saturday afternoon
  through Sunday evening.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The
  hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening
  commute. The cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed
  skin in as little as 30 minutes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This is a potentially dangerous situation to be outdoors. If you
must be outside, be sure to cover all exposed skin. Frostbite can
occur in 30 minutes or less with apparent temperatures of
15 below zero or colder.

Begin needed preparations at home or with your vehicle. Travel
may become difficult, so plan accordingly.
