   High Wind Watch.

A strong cold front will cross the region late Wednesday afternoon
and evening, with multiple hazards possible.

Scattered thunderstorms may produce small hail and gusty winds later
tonight through late Wednesday afternoon. A flash freeze is possible
mid to late afternoon Wednesday as rain changes to snow before
ending, and temperatures fall very rapidly below freezing.

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...West winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph
  possible.

* WHERE...Niagara, Orleans, Erie, Genesee, Wyoming, and
  Chautauqua counties.

* WHEN...From late Wednesday morning through late Wednesday
  night.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds could blow down some trees and power
  lines. Scattered power outages are possible. Travel could be
  difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates on this
situation. Fasten loose objects or shelter objects in a safe
location prior to the onset of winds.
