This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western New York.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Low pressure will move directly over the eastern Great Lakes
Wednesday Night and Thursday, producing a wide variety of weather
across the region. Snow will develop late Wednesday afternoon and
evening, then change to a wintry mix including the potential for
a brief period of freezing rain Wednesday night, before most areas
change to just plain rain late Wednesday night and early Thursday
morning. Only minor amounts of snow and ice are expected, but may
result in a period of slick travel.

Winds will also increase, with gusts over 40 mph possible Wednesday
night from of the south and southeast, and then gusts over 40 mph
possible from the west Thursday.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM WEDNESDAY TO 4 AM EST
THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations up
  to 2 inches and ice accumulations around one tenth of an inch.
  Winds gusting as high as 45 mph along the Lake Erie shoreline in
  Chautauqua County.

* WHERE...Southern Erie and Wyoming counties and the western
  Southern Tier. The greatest ice accumulations will be across
  interior portions of the Southern Tier, with little if any ice
  along the immediate Lake Erie shoreline.

* WHEN...From 1 PM Wednesday to 4 AM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
  conditions will impact the Wednesday evening commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will result in slippery
roads and limited visibilities. Slow down and use caution while
driving.
