...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in New

  Cayuga Lake At Ithaca affecting Tompkins County.

For the Finger Lakes/seneca/oswego River...including Nedrow, Ithaca,
Auburn, Ithaca, Geneva, Oneida, Liverpool, Auburn...Moderate
flooding is forecast.


Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...The Flood Warning remains in effect...

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Cayuga Lake At Ithaca.
* Until further notice.
* At 7:00 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 384.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 383.5 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
  at 7:00 PM EDT Wednesday was 384.2 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to remain steady above flood
  stage at 384.2 feet.
* Impact...At 385.0 feet, Significant flooding occurs around the
  lake. This level is approximately the same as the April 1916 and
  March 1936 floods. Wind waves will cause unusual land erosion and
  damage docks.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central New York and
northeast Pennsylvania.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

High runoff from heavy rain Tuesday will continue to impact
portions of central NY and northeast PA today. Please continue to
heed any remaining road closures.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Another round of rain is expected late Friday into Saturday. There
is the potential for heavy rain during this time, which could lead
to more flooding. Be sure to monitor the forecast for details and


Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
