.Heavy rain may fall on a deep primed snowpack leading to the melt
increasing. Flows in rivers may increase quickly and reach critical
levels.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON
THROUGH THURSDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...A portion of central New York, including the following
  areas, Northern Oneida and Southern Oneida.

* WHEN...From 2 PM EDT this afternoon through Thursday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff from heavy rain and snowmelt may result
  in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and
  flood-prone locations. Ice jams will also be possible in areas
  where significant ice remains.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Between three quarters of an inch and an inch of rain is
    expected Wednesday through Thursday morning. This combined
    with warm weather will result in significant snowmelt. This
    will cause rises on the Black River, Mohawk River, as well as
    other smaller tributaries.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
