...LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING
TO 6 AM EST WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...For the Winter Storm Warning, mixed precipitation.
  Additional snow accumulations of one to two inches and a light
  glaze of ice. For the Lake Effect   Snow Warning, Total snow
  accumulations between 10 and 20 inches over the two and a half day
  time period. Locally up to 2 feet of snow possible over northwest
  Oneida County. Winds gusting as high as 60 mph tonight into Monday
  will likely create hazardous whiteout conditions.

* WHERE...Northern Oneida and Southern Oneida Counties.

* WHEN...For the Winter Storm Warning, until 7 PM EST this evening.
  For the Lake Effect Snow Warning, from 7 PM this evening to 6 AM
  EST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Scattered power outages and tree damage are possible due
  to the ice. Travel could be nearly impossible. Areas of blowing
  and drifting snow could significantly reduce visibility, causing
  blizzard conditions and whiteouts in open exposed locations. The
  hazardous conditions will impact the Monday morning and evening
  commutes. Strong winds could cause extensive damage to trees and
  power lines.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Heavy lake effect snow will combine with
  strong northwest winds late tonight into Monday to bring near
  blizzard conditions at times in the heaviest lake effect snow
  bands. Snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour are expected in
  the heavy lake effect snow. This will be a long duration event
  through Tuesday night. The lake effect snow band will fluctuate
  north and south through the warning period.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
