...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...West winds 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph.

* WHERE...The western and southern Adirondacks, Mohawk Valley,
  Capital District, northern and central Taconics and the
  Berkshires.

* WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
  Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be
  difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around
trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of
your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if
you must drive.

...HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST THURSDAY...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for western Massachusetts and
eastern New York.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Please listen to NOAA Weather Radio or go to weather.gov on the
Internet for more information about the following hazards.

   High Wind Warning.

There is a Marginal Risk of severe thunderstorms through this evening.
A narrow line of downpours may produce damaging wind gusts along a
cold front this evening.

As temperatures quickly fall below freezing tonight into early Thursday
morning, any remaining areas of standing water may freeze rapidly on
untreated ground surfaces. In addition, rain may end as sleet or snow
in some areas, resulting in light accumulations. This may result in
locally slippery conditions.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

There is a low probability for widespread hazardous weather.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather spotters are encouraged to relay wind damage reports to the
National Weather Service in Albany New York via phone, email or
social media.
