...Snow squalls Possible in the Mohawk Valley and Parts of the
Capital District This Afternoon Including P.M Commute...

Scattered snow showers are expected with a few snow squalls
possible beginning early this afternoon in the western Mohawk
Valley before advancing eastward into the Capital District by late
this afternoon. Snow squalls will be possible during today`s P.M
commute. Any affected area will see rapidly changing weather and
road conditions with brief burst of snow and gusty winds
resulting in reduced visibilities. A flash freeze leading to
hazardous travel conditions is also possible as temperatures rise
into the mid-30s before rapidly dropping below freezing during any
snow squall.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Be prepared for sharply reduced visibilities. Heaviest showers
could produce temporary whiteout conditions and the potential for
dangerous driving conditions. Icy roads are also possible. If you
are traveling and encounter adverse winter driving
conditions...reduce speed and make sure headlights are on.
