The National Weather Service in Binghamton has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  West Central Delaware County in central New York...

* Until 245 AM EDT.

* At 124 AM EDT, Local law enforcement reported flooding occurring
  on Sands Creed Road in the town of Hancock. Between 1.5 and 3
  inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1
  inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already
  occurring.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Walton, Colchester, Hamden, Beerston, Rock Rift, Loomis, Bear
  Spring Mountain Campground, Trout Creek and Cannonsville.

Flash Flood warning extended due to current flooding. Heavy rainfall
rates have moved out of the area but light to moderate rain is
moving in from the west.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM EDT MONDAY...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central New York, including the following
  areas, Broome, Chemung, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Madison,
  Northern Oneida, Onondaga, Otsego, Schuyler, Seneca, Southern
  Cayuga, Southern Oneida, Steuben, Sullivan, Tioga, Tompkins and
  Yates and northeast Pennsylvania, including the following areas,
  Bradford, Northern Wayne and Susquehanna.

* WHEN...Until 5 AM EDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

   Flood Watch.

Some thunderstorms could produce gusty to damaging winds later this
afternoon and tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Additional scattered showers and storms Monday can again produce
heavy downpours and be slow-moving and could lead to isolated
instances of flash flooding, especially in low-lying and poor
drainage areas.
