This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwestern Connecticut,
eastern New York.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

A frontal system will move across the region late this afternoon and
this evening with mainly mixed rain and snow showers. However, a few
areas of sleet and or freezing rain will also be possible, which
could result in localized slippery travel. A special weather
statement or winter weather advisory may be needed later today.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

A low pressure system and its warm front will bring widespread
precipitation on Thursday. Precipitation may start out as a wintry
mix, including freezing rain, especially across the higher terrain,
before changing over to plain rain later in the day into the early
evening. Winter weather headlines may be needed later.

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
