Additional snow accumulations between 1 and 3 inches with totals between 5 and 9 inches. * WHERE...The mid-Hudson Valley, eastern Catskills, central and southern Taconics, and the Rensselaer Plateau in eastern New York, western Massachusetts, northwest Connecticut, and southern Vermont. * WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Monday. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be difficult to impossible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Increasing northwest winds gusting to 20 mph tonight combined with colder temperatures will result in wind chills or "feel-like temperatures" in the single digits with below-zero readings for elevations 1000 feet and higher. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways.
