...LAKESHORE FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON
THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Significant lakeshore flooding possible.

* WHERE...Lake Erie shore and Upper Niagara River in Niagara,
  Erie, and Chautauqua counties.

* WHEN...From Saturday afternoon through Saturday evening.

* IMPACTS...The rapid rise in water levels may result in
  lakeshore flooding along the Lake Erie and Upper Niagara River
  shores. Along the Lake Erie shore, flooding is possible along
  Route 5 in Hamburg, Buffalo Harbor and Canalside, Dunkirk
  Harbor, and other flood prone locations. Along the Upper
  Niagara River, flooding may occur on Grand Island and Cayuga
  Island. Very high wave action may also result in significant
  shoreline erosion.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Lakeshore Flood Watch means that conditions favorable for
lakeshore flooding are expected to develop. Residents on or near
the shore should take action to protect property, and listen to
local radio, television, or NOAA Weather Radio for later
statements or warnings.

...HIGH WIND WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
SATURDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Southwest winds 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 65 mph
  possible.

* WHERE...Niagara, Orleans, Monroe, Erie, Genesee, Wyoming, and
  Chautauqua counties.

* WHEN...From Saturday afternoon through Saturday evening.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds may bring down numerous trees and power
  lines. Some property damage possible. Widespread power outages
  are possible. Travel could be difficult, especially for high
  profile vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates on this
situation. Fasten loose objects or shelter objects in a safe
location prior to the onset of winds.
