...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH SUNDAY
EVENING...

The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a

* Flood Watch for flash flooding...flooding of creeks and
  rivers...and flooding of low lying areas for portions of
  Oklahoma and northern Texas, including the following areas, in
  Oklahoma, Beckham, Blaine, Caddo, Canadian, Comanche, Custer,
  Dewey, Garfield, Grady, Greer, Harmon, Jackson, Kay,
  Kingfisher, Kiowa, Logan, Noble, Oklahoma, Payne, Roger Mills,
  Tillman, and Washita. In northern Texas, Foard, Hardeman,
  Knox, and Wilbarger.

* From this evening through Sunday evening.

* Heavy rainfall associated with widespread showers and
  thunderstorms late this evening into Sunday.

* Avoid areas that normally flood during heavy rain and do not
  drive into areas where water covers the road.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.

This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of northern...
western...central...and southern Oklahoma...and western north
Texas.

.DAY ONE...Through Tonight...

.Thunderstorms...
Thunderstorms are expected to move into western Oklahoma and
adjacent parts of north Texas late this afternoon and evening
from the Texas panhandle. These thunderstorms will move eastward
through the evneing and overnight hours.

Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible with the primary
hazards being wind gusts to 60 mph and heavy rainfall that may
lead to flooding.

.SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT STATEMENT...

Storm spotter groups and emergency management personnel should
prepare for severe weather operations this evening and overnight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday...

.Thunderstorms...
Thunderstorms will be possible across at least portions of the
area Sunday through Friday. Locally heavy rain will be the primary
hazard throughout much of that time. However, a few strong to
severe storms will be possible Sunday.
