much of Eastern Oklahoma.

THUNDERSTORMS WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.
RISK...Limited.
AREA...Areas near and north of I-40.
ONSET...Ongoing.

DISCUSSION...
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are ongoing across northwest
Arkansas this morning. The storm threat is expected to spread west
into northeast Oklahoma near and after sunrise, but coverage will
overall be spotty with most storms remaining fairly weak. In
general, the chance of precipitation should diminish during the
afternoon. A few areas of patchy fog may occur through sunrise,
but overall it should remain limited in coverage.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
Spotter Activation Not Expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

MONDAY...Thunderstorm Potential...High Wind Potential.
TUESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential...Heavy Rain Potential.
WEDNESDAY...Severe Thunderstorm Potential...Heavy Rain Potential.
THURSDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.
FRIDAY...No Hazards.
SATURDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Monday will be breezy but dry until the evening. At which time a
few isolated thunderstorms are expected to form along the dry line
and move into the area. These storms could become severe. More
widespread storm activity will then move into the area Tuesday,
with a dual heavy rain and severe weather threat. This same
pattern will persist into Wednesday and even Thursday before
diminishing. With multiple days of heavy rainfall possible, the
risk of flash flooding and river flooding will increase. The
severe weather potential will be highest late Monday into Tuesday
before decreasing with time. A brief break in the active weather
may occur Friday, but additional storm activity returns next
weekend.
