Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue across the area, especially for southeast Oklahoma, which is also where there is a risk of severe storms through this evening. The main threat for severe weather would be marginally severe hail, though sporadic damaging winds could also occur. Some of the storms may produce locally heavy rainfall. Storms should diminish overnight with mostly quiet weather. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... WEDNESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... An active weather pattern continues through the next several days. Friday will see a chance of showers and thunderstorms during the day, with a better chance overnight into Saturday morning. Some of the storms may be severe, primarily for hail or wind. Additional severe thunderstorm potential is expected later Saturday into Sunday. Widespread moderate to heavy precipitation is expected Sunday and to a lesser degree Monday. This will increase the heavy rain and associated flood potential. Both river flooding and flash flooding may occur. More sporadic storms continue into the middle of next week with temperatures generally remaining near normal. Total rainfall accumulations of 4 to 6 inches with isolated amounts of 8 to 10 inches are forecast.
