much of Eastern Oklahoma.

THUNDERSTORMS WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.
RISK...Elevated.
AREA...Eastern Oklahoma and Western Arkansas.
ONSET...Ongoing.

DISCUSSION...
Rain with a few embedded thunderstorms will gradually expand
across the area from south to north today. By this evening,
heavier rainfall will become possible, especially in areas
southeast of I-44. Total rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches will be
common in and area south of I-44 and north of I-40, with locally
heavier totals approaching 3 inches. This will result in a
localized threat for flooding mainly on smaller streams.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
THURSDAY through SATURDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.
SUNDAY...No Hazards.
MONDAY...Thunderstorm Potential...High Wind Potential.
TUESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential...High Wind Potential...Heavy Rain Potential.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
An active weather pattern will continue into early next week, with
a chance of thunderstorms returning Friday night into Saturday. A
strong low pressure system is forecast to move into the plains
early next week.
