much of Eastern Oklahoma.

AREA...Higher Terrain of Northwest Arkansas...Parts of Northeast
           Oklahoma.
ONSET...This Evening.

DISCUSSION...
Rain will continue to spread over the area today as an upper level
low pressure system approaches from the west. A few elevated
thunderstorms may develop across far southeast Oklahoma this
morning.

By this evening, temperatures will cool enough to allow for a mix
of rain and snow in some areas, with some light accumulation
possible in areas of northeast Oklahoma near the Kansas border,
and over the higher terrain of northwest Arkansas. Significant
travel impacts are not expected at this time.

Spotter Activation Not Expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
THURSDAY...Winter Weather Potential.
FRIDAY through TUESDAY...No Hazards.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
A mix of light rain and snow remains possible across northeast
Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas Thursday morning as the system
moves out of the area. Dry weather is expected for several days
after that.

.NOW...

At 7:03 AM, National Weather Service radars detected scattered
showers moving north at around 30 mph across parts of eastern
Oklahoma.

Through 10:00 AM, scattered showers will continue over eastern
Oklahoma mainly east of Highway 75 into northwest Arkansas.
Average hourly rainfall rates are expected to be light, with less
than a tenth of an inch anticipated.
