This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as
much of Eastern Oklahoma.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

WINTER WEATHER.
SNOW ACCUMULATION.
RISK...Limited.
AREA...North of Interstate 40.
ONSET...Tonight.

DISCUSSION...
An upper level low will lift northeast across central Kansas
tonight which will bring a chance of winter weather to some parts
of the area. Moisture will be very limited with this system and
the main forcing will pass north of the forecast area, but some
light snow showers, occasionally mixed with rain are possible
mainly north of I-40 in northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas
late tonight. Accumulations will generally be light with marginal
surface temperatures and the dry air in place limiting a more
impactful storm.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
Spotter Activation Not Expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.
WEDNESDAY...Winter Weather Potential.
THURSDAY...No Hazards.
FRIDAY...Very High Fire Weather Potential...High Wind Potential.
SATURDAY...High Wind Potential.
SUNDAY AND MONDAY...No Hazards.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Light snow and rain showers will be exiting the area early
Wednesday morning, as the system moves off to the east. Gusty
southerly winds will increase on Friday and Saturday ahead of the
next storm system that will push through the area Saturday
afternoon. This will raise fire weather concerns somewhat as
temperatures are also forecast to warm well above normal during
this time. Rain chances will begin late Friday night into Saturday
morning before tapering off from west to east Saturday night.
Locally heavy rainfall could be possible during the day on
Saturday.
