Isolated thunderstorms may develop late tonight across parts of northeast Oklahoma, especially near the Kansas border. No severe weather is expected. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Spotter Activation Not Expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. THURSDAY...Thunderstorm Potential...Dangerous Heat Potential. FRIDAY...Dangerous Heat Potential. SATURDAY AND SUNDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. MONDAY AND TUESDAY...No Hazards. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... Isolated thunderstorms may continue into Thursday morning across parts of northeast Oklahoma. More significant thunderstorm development may occur across mainly northeast Oklahoma late Thursday afternoon. Gusty winds and locally heavy rainfall may accompany these storms. These storms will likely drift south and dissipate later Thursday evening. Dangerous heat is expected Thursday and Friday, with afternoon heat index values reaching near or slightly above 105 degrees in some places. Thunderstorm chances will return over the weekend, especially in northern parts of the area.
