* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions possible. Daily high

* WHERE...Portions of Southwest Washington and Northwest Oregon.
Specific areas are the Interstate 5 corridor, the Willamette
Valley and the Columbia River Gorge.

* WHEN...From late Thursday morning through Saturday evening.

* IMPACTS...Extreme heat has the potential to significantly
increase heat related illnesses, particularly for those working
or participating in outdoor activities, the elderly, and anyone

Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation. Be
prepared to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned
room if possible, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives

Young children and pets should never be left unattended in
vehicles under any circumstances. This is especially true during
warm or hot weather when car interiors can reach lethal
