URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Medford OR 231 PM PST Sun Jan 24 2021 ...Lower Elevation Snow expected through this evening... ...Heavy Snow Likely Across Much of Siskiyou County and portions of Josephine and eastern Curry Counties Tuesday and Wednesday... .A front moving across the area today is bringing light to moderate snow down to 1000 to 2000 feet. Areas west of the Cascades will see moderate snow accumulations, mainly above 2000 feet elevation, except down to 1500 feet in Douglas County and in the southern Rogue Valley in and near Ashland. Across lower valley floors, periods of light snow or a rain-snow mix are expected into this evening. Lingering isolated to scattered showers are expected tonight into Monday. A much stronger and moister, cold low pressure system is then likely to bring heavy snow to much of Siskiyou County, especially the Mount Shasta area, Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday. Heavy snow is possible in Josephine and eastern Curry counties as well for elevations above 2000 feet.
