...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM PST
WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Very cold temperatures. Morning lows around 10 degrees to
minus 5 degrees will be common, except in the lower Klamath River
Valley where low temperatures of 13 to 20 are expected. Locally,
temperatures as low as 15 degrees below zero expected east of the
  Cascades.

* WHERE...Areas along and east of the Cascades, including Klamath,
Lake, and Modoc counties, as well as Siskiyou County.

* WHEN...Until 9 AM PST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with
  prolonged exposure.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Persisting snow cover could minimize surface
warming, and clear skies overnight would allow for radiative
cooling to be increased. Under these conditions, localized areas
may see temperatures drop significantly below forecast values.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and
unfrozen water.
