This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northeast Pennsylvania.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected tonight. Some of
the storms could produce torrential downpours, with isolated
instances of flash flooding possible due to slow-moving or training
thunderstorms.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Additional scattered showers and storms Monday can again produce
heavy downpours and be slow-moving and could lead to isolated
instances of flash flooding, especially in low-lying and poor
drainage areas.

Weather spotters are encouraged to report significant weather
conditions according to Standard Operating Procedures. Please relay
any information about severe weather to the NWS.

The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Central Lackawanna County in northeastern Pennsylvania...
  Northeastern Luzerne County in northeastern Pennsylvania...

* Until 530 AM EDT.

* At 225 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
  have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible
  in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, Pittston, Dunmore, Old Forge, Archbald,
  Dickson City, Moosic, Olyphant, Clarks Summit, Edwardsville,
  Luzerne, West Wyoming, Clarks Green, Glendale, Mount Cobb,
  Kingston, Nanticoke, Plains and Blakely.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
