...REPLACES FLASH FLOOD WARNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central Pennsylvania, including the following
  counties, Lancaster and York.

* WHEN...Until 900 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 640 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported ongoing
    flooding in the warned area due to thunderstorms. Between 2
    and 4 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Lancaster, York, Weigelstown, Columbia, Millersville, Willow
    Street, Red Lion, Spry, East Petersburg, Dallastown, Shiloh,
    East York, Stonybrook-Wilshire, West York, Grantley, Tyler
    Run-Queens Gate, Valley View, Mountville, Manchester and
    Hallam.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  South Central Dauphin County in south central Pennsylvania...
  West Central Lancaster County in south central Pennsylvania...
  Northwestern York County in south central Pennsylvania...

* Until 745 PM EDT.

* At 442 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
  have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Lower Allen, Weigelstown, Middletown, New Cumberland, Steelton,
  Valley Green, Bressler-Enhaut-Oberlin, Manchester, Dillsburg,
  Highspire, Dover, East Berlin, Royalton, Siddonsburg, York
  Airport, Goldsboro, York Haven, Franklintown, Lewisberry and
  Wellsville.

In addition, strong to severe thunderstorms with gusty winds are
possible this afternoon and early tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Very heavy rainfall from thunderstorms may produce flash flooding
again Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. In addition, heat index values
will approach 100 degrees on Thursday.
