Western Interior-Mayaguez and Vicinity-Southwest-Culebra-Vieques-
The nearshore and off shore Atlantic and Caribbean Coastal Waters-
355 AM AST Sun Aug 9 2020

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Puerto Rico and the adjacent
Atlantic Coastal Waters.

.Day One...Today and Tonight

.Thunderstorms...There is a chance of a few weak isolated thunderstorms
with moderate rainfall and brief gusty winds this afternoon across
portions of southwestern Puerto Rico.

.Flooding...Moderate rains over southwestern Puerto Rico this
afternoon could lead to ponding water on roadways and in areas of poor

.Wind...Sustained winds in excess of 20 MPH (17 knots) are expected
across the Caribbean waters and Mona Passage.

.Waves...Choppy/Rough seas up to 6 feet expected across the Caribbean
waters and Mona Passage.

.Rip Currents...There is a moderate risk of rip currents for most
beaches along the northern and southern coast.

.Days Two through Seven...Monday through Saturday

Light amounts of haze from Saharan dust will continue for the next few
days. Another tropical wave will move across the islands next
Wednesday and another for Saturday.

.Spotter information statement...

Spotter activation is not anticipated. Please relay any information
about winds, waves, and rip currents to the National Weather Service
in San Juan while following all local and state guidelines.
