This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northeast Georgia, piedmont
North Carolina and upstate South Carolina.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Scattered thunderstorms will occur later tonight. Cloud-to-ground
lightning and locally heavy rainfall will be possible with any of
these thunderstorms. A few of the storms may become severe, producing
large hail greater than 1 inch in diameter, as well as damaging wind
gusts. A tornado cannot be completely ruled out in the southern
counties.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed. Please relay any information about
observed severe weather to the NWS while following all local, state,
and CDC guidelines.

...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of Hart, northwestern
Laurens, southeastern Greenville, Anderson, southeastern Pickens,
northern Abbeville and southeastern Oconee Counties through 1215 AM
EDT...

At 1137 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Anderson, moving northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Greenville Downtown, Anderson, Easley, Clemson, Laurens, Hartwell,
Greenville Eastside, West Greenville, Mauldin and Simpsonville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
