This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western South
Dakota and northeastern Wyoming.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Northwesterly winds will gust to 35 to 45 mph across much of the
western and south central South Dakota plains later this morning
and afternoon. The grassland fire danger will be in the high to
very high category across the plains.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

The next cold front and upper level system will cross the
Northern Plains Saturday afternoon into Saturday night, bringing
chances for light rain and snow to the area and gusty winds. Some
areas could see light accumulations of snow, mainly across the
Black Hills. Strong winds are possible Sunday across the South
Dakota plains on the back side of the system. Gusts of 50 to 60
mph are possible in some areas. The grassland fire danger is
forecast to be very high to extreme across much of the plains
Saturday and Sunday.
