This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Texas and Oklahoma
Panhandles.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

A Heat Advisory is in effect for Palo Duro Canyon this afternoon
with an expected high temperature of 105 degrees.

Isolated thunderstorms will continue this afternoon and evening.
Severe weather isn`t really expected, but a strong storm with
gusty winds and some hail cannot be ruled out.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Thunderstorms are possible Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday, and
Monday. Chances for thunderstorms reaching severe limits remain
low at this time.

A heat advisory may be needed for Palo Duro Canyon as high
temperatures on Thursday and Friday will be very warm around 105
to 106 degrees.

Spotter activation is not anticipated at this time.

...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SOUTHWESTERN LIPSCOMB...
NORTHEASTERN ROBERTS...NORTHWESTERN HEMPHILL AND SOUTHEASTERN
OCHILTREE COUNTIES UNTIL 415 PM CDT...

At 329 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 16
miles northwest of Miami. This storm was nearly stationary.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Lipscomb and Glazier.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Take shelter in a sturdy building if threatening weather approaches.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
