This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Texas and Oklahoma
Panhandles.

Critical fire weather conditions are possible for the majority of
the Texas Panhandle today due to low RH values and breezy
conditions.

There is the chance for thunderstorms today. Some thunderstorms
could be severe with damaging winds being the main threat.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Thunderstorms are possible Saturday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Storms on Saturday have a chance to be severe with damaging winds
being the main threat.

Critical fire weather conditions will be possible Saturday through
Monday due to windy conditions and low RH values.

Wind headlines may be needed for Monday with the potential of
strong winds.

The National Weather Service in Amarillo has issued a Red Flag
Warning for breezy winds and dry conditions for the majority of
the Texas Panhandle, which is in effect from noon to 9 PM CDT
Friday.

* WINDS...Southwest 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 7 percent.

* TEMPERATURES...In the lower 90s.

* IMPACTS...

  FUELS (ERC)...70th-89th percentile...4 (out of 5).

  WEATHER...Elevated...1 (out of 5).

  FIRE ENVIRONMENT...5 (out of 10).

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now...or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures will
create favorable weather for rapid fire growth and spread. Avoid
