This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Texas and Oklahoma
Panhandles.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Widespread critical Fire Weather continues across the Panhandles
through the evening. A cold front will follow with north winds 30
to 40 mph gusting up to 55 mph. Wind Advisories are in place for
the entire Panhandles.

Isolated thunderstorm may occur in the eastern Panhandle early
this afternoon, but the bulk of the severe weather threat should
be east of the Texas, Oklahoma border.

A freeze warning is in effect for the northern and western
Panhandle tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Freeze Watch is in effect on Sunday morning for portions of the
northern and western combined Panhandles where temperatures are
expected to drop below freezing.

Elevated to critical Fire Weather expected Monday through
Wednesday.

  up to 55 mph. For the Freeze Watch, sub-freezing temperatures as
  low as 32 possible.

* WHERE...Deaf Smith, Ochiltree, Oldham, Potter, and Randall
  Counties.

* WHEN...For the Wind Advisory, until 7 AM CDT Saturday. For the
  Freeze Watch, from late Saturday night through Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
  limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
  Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive
  vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
