This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling
Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Fog, locally dense at times, will continue across the South Plains
region through late morning.

Thunderstorm chances will expand along and east of the Highway 385
corridor today. Some storms may become severe in the afternoon and
evening and will be capable of producing very large hail up to two
inches in diameter, damaging wind gusts up to 70 mph, and a tornado
or two. The best potential for a tornado will be in the northern
Rolling Plains and far southeastern Texas Panhandle this afternoon
and evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Isolated thunderstorms may develop early Friday morning across the
southern portions of the Caprock and into the Rolling Plains. The
primary threat with storms early Friday morning will be large hail.

Elevated fire weather conditions are expected across much of the
area on Friday. Critical fire weather conditions are possible over
the far southwestern Texas Panhandle.

THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING FOR STRONG WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY
FOR THE FAR SOUTHERN TEXAS PANHANDLE...SOUTH PLAINS..AND CENTRAL
AND NORTHERN ROLLING PLAINS...

* Timing...11 AM through 8 PM Friday.

* Wind...West to southwest at 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph.

* Humidity...As low as 8 percent.

* Fuels...Dry.

* Impacts...Any fires that develop can spread rapidly. Outdoor
  burning is discouraged.
