Hot and humid conditions will likely lead to triple digit heat
index values across much of the region this afternoon.

.Thunderstorms...
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will remain possible across
portions of Oklahoma through early Monday. Gusty winds and heavy
rain that could lead to localized flooding are the main concerns.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday...

The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southeastern Jackson County in southwestern Oklahoma...
  Southwestern Kiowa County in southwestern Oklahoma...
  Northwestern Tillman County in southwestern Oklahoma...
  Northwestern Wilbarger County in northern Texas...

* Until 645 PM CDT.

* At 600 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 4 miles north of
  Elmer, moving east at 15 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Altus, Tipton, Olustee, Elmer, Headrick, Altus Air Force Base,
  Humphreys and Hess.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail and damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground
lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately.
Lightning is one of nature`s leading killers. Remember, if you can
hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
