This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for North and Central Texas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.
Areas of rain will persist across much of North and Central Texas
tonight. Continued rainfall will be of concern, especially in areas
from roughly Comanche to the DFW Metroplex to Canton where numerous
rivers, creeks, and streams are already flooded.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.
Rain chances will continue through much of this week, which may
aggravate any flooding of low-lying areas, creeks, and streams. Main
stem river flooding will likely persist as well.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation is not expected at this time.

...FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING...

The Flood Watch is now in effect for

* Portions of north central Texas and northeast Texas, including
  the following areas, in north central Texas, Bosque, Collin,
  Comanche, Coryell, Dallas, Denton, Eastland, Ellis, Erath,
  Hamilton, Hill, Hood, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Lampasas,
  McLennan, Mills, Navarro, Palo Pinto, Parker, Rockwall,
  Somervell, Stephens, Tarrant, and Wise. In northeast Texas,
  Delta, Henderson, Hopkins, Rains, and Van Zandt.

* Through Wednesday morning

* Widespread rain will continue through tonight which may lead to
  additional flooding, mainly from the Comanche area through the
  southern portions of the DFW Metroplex into East Texas.

* Additional rainfall amounts of up to 2 inches are possible
  within the Flood Watch area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means that conditions are favorable for heavy rain
which may lead to flooding of low lying areas and locations along
creeks, streams, and rivers. You should monitor the latest
forecasts from the National Weather Service and be prepared to
take action should Flood Warnings be issued for your area.

  The East Fork Trinity River At McKinney.
* At 0230 PM Tuesday the stage was 16.91 feet.
* Flood stage is 16 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river has crested and will continue to recede and
  fall below flood stage by Wednesday afternoon.
* At 16 feet, minor out of bank flooding will begin along the river.

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

* Flood Warning for
  The Sister Grove Creek Near Blue Ridge.
* from this evening to Wednesday afternoon...Or until the warning is
  cancelled.
* At 0200 PM Tuesday the stage was 23.48 feet.
* Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river should rise above flood stage by Tuesday
  evening and continue to rise to a crest near 25 feet by Wednesday
  after midnight. The river should fall below flood stage by
  Wednesday after midnight.
* At 24 feet, minor out of bank flooding along the creek is expected.
  Rural roads, along with farm and ranch land near the creek, will
  begin to flood.
