...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST MONDAY...

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 3 above zero.

* WHERE...North and Central Texas

* WHEN...Until 9 AM CST Monday.

* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 3 above zero could result
  in hypothermia or frostbite on exposed skin if precautions are not
  taken.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and
unfrozen water.

Make frequent checks on vulnerable family, friends, and neighbors.
Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or
grills inside.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for North and Central Texas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Wind chills will drop to 5 to 15 degrees tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Very cold weather will persist through Wednesday morning with lows in
the teens and low 20s and wind chills as cold as 5 degrees.

Snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are expected across Central Texas
late Monday night into early Tuesday, where some travel impacts are
possible. Light snow with little to no accumulation is expected
across North Texas.
