This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of south central
Arkansas, southwest Arkansas, north central Louisiana, northwest
Louisiana, east Texas and northeast Texas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight...

Showers and thunderstorms will develop near a strong cold front
as it moves across the region today. A few strong to severe
storms will be possible during the afternoon and evening hours.
Large hail, damaging wind gusts, and a tornado or two will all be
possible. Behind the front, a very cold airmass will move into
area, with temps tonight falling into the low to mid 30s.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday...

Below normal temperatures will remain in place from the end of
the work week into the first half of the weekend. Daily high
temperatures will only climb into the 40s, with overnight lows in
the 20s. Warmer temperatures and rain chances will return on
Monday and Tuesday as another upper level disturbance moves into
the region.


Activation of emergency management personnel, amateur radio
operators and storm spotters will not be needed through Tuesday.
