This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for North and Central Texas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Snow accumulations around 1 inch are expected across Central Texas
tonight, where some minor travel impacts are possible. Light snow
with little to no accumulation is expected elsewhere across North
Texas.

Wind chills will drop to 5 to 15 degrees tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Very cold weather will persist through Wednesday morning with lows in
the teens and low 20s and wind chills as cold as 5 degrees.

There is a low chance for thunderstorms mainly east of I-35 Saturday
night and Sunday.

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 5 above zero.

* WHERE...Portions of north central, northeast, and south central
  Texas.

* WHEN...Until 9 AM CST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 5 above zero could result
  in hypothermia if precautions are not taken.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and
unfrozen water.

Make frequent checks on vulnerable family, friends, and neighbors.
Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or
grills inside.
