...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 745 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following
  county, Val Verde.

* WHEN...Until 745 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 434 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1 inch of rain has
    fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Loma Alta, Vinegarone, Devils River State Nat Area Del Norte,
    Devils River State Nat Area Big Satan and Devils Shores.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following
  counties, Bandera, Bexar, Blanco, Burnet, Comal, Edwards,
  Gillespie, Hays, Kendall, Kerr, Kinney, Llano, Medina, Real,
  Travis, Uvalde, Val Verde and Williamson.

* WHEN...Through this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - An upper level disturbance along the Rio Grande in
    combination with abundant tropical moisture are likely to
    bring another round of heavy rain across parts of the Rio
    Grande, southern Edwards Plateau, and Hill Country. Rain
    rates of 1 to 3 inches per hour could lead to flooding over
    areas affected by last night heavy rains that lasted through
    about noon on Monday. Additional 1 to 3 inches of rainfall
    and up to 6 inches are possible within the Flood Watch area

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
